All of our rescued dogs will be on the monthly preventative for heartworm and flea/tick. The brand name of the preventative will be included on the certificate.

All canines must be at least 6 months old traveling with either a flight volunteer or traveling alone via cargo option. For more information, please visit USDA APHIS (United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service).

IS MY DOG SPAYED|NEUTERED?

Effective March 1, 2020, please note that no puppies less than 6 months are allowed to enter with a flight volunteer. However, if you choose to bring the dog yourself, puppies of the age of 4 months old may travel with you.

If you have adopted a puppy less than 6-7 months old, you will need to spay or neuter yourself and provide us with proof. No exceptions. If your adopted pet is over 6-7 months, we will spay or neuter your adopted pet.

ARE THE DOGS MICROCHIPPED?

Effective March 1, 2020, all dogs must be microchipped. It will be your responsibility to update the contact information. There are many sites that offer this service. Our adopters will receive instructions on how to update the newly adopted pet’s microchip information.

WILL I RECEIVE A HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR MY NEWLY ADOPTED PET?

Absolutely. Your pet cannot enter the U.S. without his/her health certificate, a Permit Entry issued by The United States Department of Agriculture, and an Entry Number issued by The Department of Homeland Security. You will receive health certificates in both Korean and English. Please show the English version of the health certificate titled, Certificate of Veterinary Inspection & Rabies Certification along with Live Dog Import Health and Rabies Certificate to your veterinarian.

The Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and Rabies Certification will include all dates of the vaccinations given to your pet as well as the dates of testings, spay/neuter, and monthly preventions.
